The Sullivan Foundation is establishing regional HUB schools responsible for coordinating programming activities for other Sullivan partner schools within the HUB region. The Foundation, working with the HUB School and HUB School Coalition, will organize and oversee a concerted, collaborative program of education, specialized programming, training, mentorship, and project development. The goals of the program are to encourage social-enterprise business ventures, economic development and employment in disadvantaged communities.
The schools, faculty, students and communities involved will learn how to combine market-driven capitalism and social entrepreneurship to create sustainable businesses that address inherent in their communities. By pairing students with faculty members and established civic leaders, the initiative will bridge generational divides and create networks capable of building social enterprises that are self-sustaining and that will bring about lasting change well into the future.
As with our Sullivan Campus Sponsors, the companies that choose to assist our schools’ efforts will be afforded an opportunity to brand their product or service at HUB events and gain direct access to students, faculty and leaders in the HUB communities.
